Gilbert Ortega Galleries: 5th Avenue Trading Co.

I had a friend in town for the weekend so we went to the 5th Ave. area of downtown Scottsdale to do some shopping. We passed a building where “Gilbert Ortega” was written on top. We entered the shop and realized we walked into the 5th Avenue Trading Company. I knew right away this was much more than the average shop.

They had beautiful paintings, pottery, jewelry, furniture, rugs, and Arizona artistry at its best. Many of their items are hand made by local artists. Since I am a huge fan of the creative arts, I was very interested. The store is mostly, if not all, native american oriented. The inventory ranged from rustic to modern style. Just browsing around the store filled me with inspiration. We all enjoyed it and purchased a few items… we even bought a dream catcher bracelet and cute figurines for our daughters.
